prisma VENT40 now offers safety and even more flexibility. Thanks to a broad pressure range of up to 40 hPa and volume compensation, the device is suitable for treatment of a wide spectrum of disorders. Both prisma VENT30 and prisma VENT40 come with complete alarm management, integrated power supply unit, and an optional internal rechargeable battery with a 12-hour operating capacity. These features make prisma VENT easy to transport for safe use anywhere.
As with prisma VENT30 and prisma VENT40, prisma VENT50 ventilates patients via a leakage circuit and additionally via a disposable system with patient valve. Other functions and features in prisma VENT50 include a larger pressure range up to 50 hPa, pressure- and volume-controlled mouthpiece ventilation modes (MPVp and MPVv) and LIAM (Lung Insufflation Assist Maneuver) for cough support and secretion management. With these enhancements to the previous prisma devices, an even broader spectrum of diseases can be treated with the prisma VENT50. The new device is equipped with a complete alarm management system, integrated power supply unit and a rechargeable battery with a capacity of up to 12 hours.
The prisma VENT50-C ventilator is equipped with High-Flow Therapy (HFT) mode in addition to all the other features available in prisma VENT50.
In HFT mode the device provides a constant flow of five to 60 liters per minute. An oxygen feed also can be added. The flow of air is heated and humidified (for example, with prisma VENT AQUA) and delivered to the patient via a nasal cannula. The patient interface comes in different sizes for non-invasive use. A different interface is available for invasive application.
The prisma VENT50-C also may be used with a single tube with patient valve and with other tube systems with nasal cannula for High-Flow Therapy.
prisma VENT AQUA – Active humidification in non-invasive ventilation
The prisma VENT AQUA is a respiratory gas humidifier for non-invasive ventilation. The device automatically detects the connection to a heated hose system and temperature sensor and starts up in the corresponding mode.
