Neonatal Ventilation & Respiratory Support
Specialist respiratory support solutions for premature babies, newborns and infants, supporting neonatal teams with advanced ventilation, non-invasive therapy and carefully designed clinical technology.
Next-Generation Neonatal Intensive Care Ventilation
LEONI 4 is Löwenstein Medical’s latest premium neonatal ventilator, developed for invasive and non-invasive ventilation of preterm babies, newborns, term infants and children up to 30 kg.
With an advanced platform, intuitive operation and high-resolution display, LEONI 4 supports neonatal teams with precise ventilation, clear monitoring and flexible configuration for modern neonatal intensive care.
Key Features
- Invasive and non-invasive neonatal ventilation
- Applicable tidal volumes from 0.1 ml for the smallest preterm infants
- Optional high-frequency oscillatory ventilation with double-diaphragm technology
- 15.6" Full HD display for detailed curves, loops and parameters
- Optional CLAC closed-loop automatic oxygen control
- Optional nasal high-flow therapy and NIV trigger support
- Battery concept allowing up to 6 hours of independent operation
Neonatal Transport Ventilation
Leoni plus Transport is designed to support neonatal ventilation during patient transport, helping clinical teams continue specialist respiratory care during in-hospital, road and air transfer.
With comprehensive ventilation modes, NIV support and high-frequency oscillation capability, the system allows critical care ventilation to continue beyond the neonatal unit where transport approval and mobility are required. Patient transport with HFO – no problem with the new Leoni plus Transport.
Key Features
- Designed for neonatal patient transport
- Invasive and non-invasive ventilation support
- CPAP, IPPV/IMV, S-IPPV/SIMV and PSV modes
- NIV options including nCPAP, nIPPV, HiFlow and nHFO
- High-frequency oscillation during transport
- Battery operation up to 200 minutes in conventional ventilation
- Battery operation up to 60 minutes in HFO
- Approved for ground-based transport, helicopters and airplanes
Closed-Loop Automatic Oxygen Control
CLAC continuously monitors the infant’s oxygen saturation and automatically adjusts FiO₂ levels to maintain the target oxygen range set by the clinical team.
By reducing manual oxygen adjustments and responding rapidly to changing patient conditions, CLAC helps support consistent oxygen therapy while reducing clinical workload.
Key Features
- Automatic adjustment of FiO₂ levels
- Continuous monitoring of oxygen saturation
- Supports maintenance of target SpO₂ ranges
- Reduces the need for manual oxygen intervention
- Integrated directly within the LEONI platform
